At C.A.R.E., we believe every dog deserves a happy and thriving life in their home. That’s why we’re excited to offer our Pet Dog Behavior Support Programa free resource designed to help keep community dogs with their families.

This program is offered to pet owners in Garfield County who are unable to cover the cost of dog training.

Why Choose Our Program?

  • Free Training Sessions: Access up to three in-person behavior sessions (45 minutes each) at our Glenwood Springs shelter.
  • Expert Guidance: Our sessions, led by experienced trainers, focus on positive, reward-based training.
  • Personalized Support: Receive follow-up emails with session summaries and tailored advice.

Who Can Benefit?

  • Families in Garfield County who need support with essential dog training costs.
  • Pet owners who adopted their dog from C.A.R.E. in the past year can receive courtesy behavior support directly from our Behavior Manager, Luke Barta. Please call the shelter for courtesy behavior support at 970-947-9173–no need to apply).
