Overview
Thank you for choosing to adopt! We are delighted to assist you in finding the perfect forever friend.
Colorado Animal Rescue strives to make every adoption a match for life. To assure that the animal you wish to adopt is well suited for you, your home, and lifestyle, and is placed in an environment that is compatible with their needs, we ask that you complete our adoption survey. The adoption surveys are specific to dogs/puppies, and cats/kittens. We keep completed surveys on file for a period of time, but we may ask you to complete a new survey if it has been a while since your prior inquiry.

See a pet on our website that you’re interested in hearing more about (and potentially adopting!)? Now is a great time to get started by filling out your adoption survey. Each pet’s profile page has an Apply for Adoption tab (located underneath the pet’s photos). Click on that tab to get started. Filling out an adoption survey does not place the animal on hold and does not require any future commitment on your part. Our team will give you a call to talk more about the pet you’re interested in (along with any other potential matches) and get you scheduled to come up for a visit.
If you’re just starting the process of looking for a new companion animal, you can still get started by filling out an adoption survey. On our Adoption Survey tab, you’ll find selections for general dog/puppy, cat/kitten, barn/working cat, or other (for pocket pets). Once received our team will give you a call to talk about any potential matches, get you scheduled to come in for a visit, and we’ll create a profile with your information to hang on to until you find the right one!
The adoption survey can take 24 hours to process, however we often times can process a same day adoption.
